Professional Speaking
Papa Tom is now sharing his message on reversing the curse of fatherlessness from stages at conferences, conventions, and gatherings across the country.
Every audience has someone in it carrying a fear, a worry, or an anxiety they’ve never said out loud. Papa Tom has spent a lifetime learning — the hard way, and the miraculous way — that perfect love casts out fear. As the host of The Father’s Heart Talk Show and The Father’s Heart Podcast (250+ episodes and counting), and the author of the Papa Tom’s Tales children’s book series, he brings a message tested across decades of fatherhood, grandfatherhood, and ministry into one unforgettable talk — the kind that leaves a room quieter, and a little freer, than it found it.
Tom’s Speaker Bio
Tom Clark — known to audiences as Papa Tom — is the founder of The Father’s Heart Media, based in the Charlotte, North Carolina area (Lake Norman). The oldest of eight children raised in an Irish Catholic family on Long Island, New York, he went on to become a father of six and grandfather many times over.
After retiring, Papa Tom spent time during COVID reflecting on fatherhood and felt called to a mission: to turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers — and to help reverse what he calls the curse of fatherlessness. That call became The Father’s Heart Talk Show, airing on WSIC News, and The Father’s Heart Podcast, now past 250 episodes. It also became the Papa Tom’s Tales: A Grandfather’s Bedtime Stories children’s book series, in which a boy named Luke the Light Bearer learns to overcome a different fear in each book by sitting on the lap of God the Father.
At the center of everything Papa Tom teaches is a story from his own childhood: at age three, he survived a near-certain-fatal case of spinal meningitis — a recovery he calls his first felt experience of the love of God the Father, and the root of everything he now speaks and writes about.
Signature Talks
Reversing the Curse of Fatherlessness Papa Tom’s signature keynote. Drawing on Scripture and his own journey from son, to father, to grandfather, he shows audiences what it looks like to turn the hearts of fathers back to their children — and why that turning is the answer to a fatherless generation.
Perfect Love Casts Out Fear A message for anyone carrying fear, worry, or anxiety. Papa Tom unpacks how the love of God the Father — the same love at the center of every Papa Tom’s Tales book — replaces fear with freedom, one honest story at a time.
Every Miracle Is a Touch of His Love Papa Tom’s own testimony: at three years old, he survived a disease that killed 95 out of 100 children who had it. He walks audiences through that night, his mother’s prayer, and the morning that followed — and what it taught him about recognizing God’s hand in the ordinary and extraordinary moments of life.
Turning Your Story Into Their Legacy A talk for parents, grandparents, and ministry leaders on using story — not just instruction — to pass faith and courage to the next generation, built around how and why Papa Tom started writing the Papa Tom’s Tales series for his own grandchildren.
What Audiences Experience
Papa Tom speaks the way he writes and broadcasts: warm, unhurried, and personal — like a grandfather who has earned the right to be listened to. He weaves his own testimony together with Scripture and story, moving from real, specific moments (a hospital room, a prayer, a promise kept) into truths audiences can carry home and apply that same day. Expect laughter, a few tears, and a room that leaves lighter than it arrived.
